It's funny because in Japanese chinko means penis, so when he reeled off the phone number it sounded like 'penis penis penis – penis penis penis penis.' An interesting number I'd be hesitant to tell a girl I met at the bar.
On a related Japanese/Italian penis pun note, chinchin is another way of saying penis in Japanese which means the Italian form of 'cheers' and an Italian restaurant in Vancouver sound like penis in Japanese. Top tip, if you go to Japan and go on a date with a pretty girl/guy don't say chin chin when you raise your glass of wine, it will get you strange looks.
